Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What do kids wear for dance classes?

A. Something they feel good in that is stretchy and easy to move in. Our younger students arrive to dance class in anything from a fairy dress, to a ballet outfit, to shorts and a t-shirt. We don’t mind as long as our students are safe and having fun.

Q. Do students need special shoes for dance classes?

A. We reccomend bare feet for our 3-8 year old students to keep these dance classes more affordable for you. Students in classes for 9+ year olds need black jazz shoes for jazz/funk and cheer dance classes and tan tap shoes for tap dance classes.

Q. Do students need special shoes for tap dance classes?

A. Yes – students need tan tap shoes for this class, but we highly recommend second hand shoes if possible.

Q. Can parents watch classes at Dance Mount Isa?

A. Yes! We have a parent watching area right next to our dance space where parents and siblings can stay and watch classes.
